Went with a recommendation and lived every bite. Ice tea even tasted special.
Wife and I really enjoyed our meal! Well prepared seafood and a pleasant staff. Can't wait to come back next time through.
MoreIts pretty good and well priced for tourist town. They practice good distancing and sanitization. The wait was 30 min but that is less than other places
MoreI had breakfast here. Everything was very good. All of the food is homemade, and, Nothing is "prepackaged". Eggs "over median", NO "runny" egg whites or "hard" yokes. Sausage is very tasty and Not over powering with too many spices. Whole wheat toast perfectly toasted and we'll buttered, and the jam brought to the table, a mixture of strawberry, marrionberry, and fine/slim pieces of orange peel. "Different", but, very tasty. New England style windows fill the walls for plenty of views to the outside.
MoreThe food was decent, the fried razor clam was great. However, the service was a bit slow and you could tell the staff was disorganized even though it wasn’t terribly busy. Nice place though and the staff was very friendly
MoreGood food, full bar, friendly staff. Who could ask for more.
Great selection for breakfast and lunch. I will definitely eat here again.
We got the pot roast, eggs, hash browns. Fantastic.
Absolutely one of the top three breakfast meals I have ever eaten at a restaurant ...unbelievable👍👍check it out for yourself ...right here in Long Beach Washington.
MoreThis was a great place. Excellent service very good food
It was worth the 30 min wait. Salmon Benedict was delicious! Fluffy poached eggs, & Yummy fried red potatoes. 😋
MoreBest breakfast I've had all year. They really do it well. From the relaxed atmosphere, music and quick service. Lovely place.
MoreExcellent fresh seafood, wine selection.Razor clams are excellent. Service is excellent.
MoreWe went for an early dinner at four o'clock, which accounts for the lack of customers. I couldn't decide, so I went with a burger and fries. The hamburger was great, but I really liked the 1/8 inch crispy fries. If you have that option, I would definitely recommend you try them out. My wife had the pot roast, cooked for eight hours. It just fell apart, very tender, with mashed potatoes. So, we had a great meal, this may not sound like gourmet food, but they are following a munu from years ago, that created happy and loyal customers. Naturally, there are many other choices on the menu. If you are visiting the peninsula, or live there, I would encourage you to try out the 42 Street Cafe
MoreThere service was amazing it's such a nice atmosphere and the food was to die for defiantly going to be coming back!!
MoreExcellent breakfast oh, the staff is very attentive. Will definitely go back again
MoreVery classy spot. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, incredible food, and delicious food. The bathrooms we're also impeccable. A great surprise.
MoreStaff is always very friendly and the food is amazing!! Small menu but what is on it is great!! Come for breakfast and get the Manmosa!! We go every time in Long Beach, sometimes more then once!
MoreFood was great. The omelet with oysters was delicious. The berries orange marmalade was so tasty.
MoreAbsolutely loved it could not have asked for more... the food was amazing the service was spectacular, atmosphere is great... this place is a must stop for anyone visiting long beach
MoreThis cafe never disappoints. From the house made Sausage and jelly to the beignets. A must stop when we are in the area.
MoreOur favorite restaurant when we come to the Long Beach peninsula!
The food and drinks here are GREAT! The wait staff was awesome and very friendly. We were seated right away and treated very well! In addition to the food being very tasty and top notch they also have free postcards on the table that you can fill out while you wait for your food. They will mail it out for you- free of charge (no stamp needed)- to anywhere in the USA. It was fun! The menu is extensive and has a good spread for you to choose from. They also have breakfast cocktails for those that may feel adventurous! We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in town!
MoreWonderful place to eat breakfast and lunch. Cozy dining with a homemade jam that is the best I have had. Portions are good and the food tasty. The beignets had my husband raving about how good they were. They also serve alcohol so you can have a specialty drink with your meal. Highly recommend 👍😍
MoreThis restaurant is our current favorite! The food was delicious and the ser was good. The prices are more than fair. We will be back for sure!
MoreGreat place. Hidden gem! Food was great. Service was as great. Family owned and operated. Glad we came in.
MoreFantastic breakfast, highly recommend the Hangtown Fry, and the jam is amazing! Excellent, friendly service, and they are being very conscientious about physical distancing and wearing masks.
MoreThis place is hands down the best food, atmosphere and service for 50 miles. Juan is a world class server and he alone is a reason to go back to this place. 10/10 would go back.
MoreVery friendly, great food and super cozy place.
Great food and great service! We had a short trip to the beach and came back to 42nd St twice for dinner. Highly recommend anything that has veggies. They aren't an afterthought here!
MoreWe had beignets standard breakfast with eggs, ham, potatoes and toast and their fritatta dish for breakfast. The breakfast came with their house made marionberry jam which was outstanding. Everything tasted great and was fresh and the service was excellent. This place is a must have while in Long Beach
MoreWas in Long Beach for a weekend trip with a couple girlfriends and were looking for a local brunch place. We decided to go to 42nd st after reading the very positive reviews. The service and food did not disappoint. I got the veggie scramble and my girlfriends got the blueberry waffle and quiche of the day. The serving size was just right for breakfast and left us filled but not over stuffed. Highly recommend!
MoreWe have taken our breakfast twice here...Best place in longbeach... love there food and service . You need to try. A t
MoreThe best chicken fried steak we've ever had! We came with a party of four and we all ordered it. Worth the wait!
MoreA must stop if you want delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. The best dining experience in our 2 month walk-about of the beautiful state of Washington.
MoreFive star breakfast, perfect service, not nice atmosphere. Bloody Mary's delish! What more do you want? We'll be back.
MoreI've been to the 42nd Street for breakfast, which is delicious. My mom and I got there at 4:30 pm which is opening so there was no waiting line. The food was excellent. The music played during dinner was really nice and the volume was quiet, perfect. The service was friendly and fast. I would recommend this place for breakfast and dinner. I will make sure to return.
MoreGreat food in a quaint setting.
An excellent place! Not enormous but open, airy, and welcoming. Great food and friendly, efficient staff. We hadn't even noticed it before, right there at 42nd Street, but would definitely go back.
MoreFood was amazing, service was prompt. The wait was not bad at all for a Sunday morning. Their raspberry orange walnut conserve was fantastic. They're doing real, amazing food in this small town.
MoreFood was amazing Bloody Mary was great. I had the PO boy, french toast, Tomato soup, Bloody Mary and it was all so good. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu. Their homade conserve (jam) was so good we bought a jar to take with us.
MoreOutstanding drink menu. House made bread and marmalade. Great breakfast atmosphere.Tasty seafood dishes. Small menu. No airflow in the dining room.
MoreBlaine was an great server with a dry, witty sense of humor. The food was AMAZING!! We were so impressed with everything we were served from the bread with corn relish and strawberry/marionberry/walnut conserve to the crab fritters and oyster po boy with fries. Best food we've had on a trip spanning the coast from Pacific City to Long Beach WA!
MoreThis is a great find. Loved the bloody Mary's. Beignets were made perfectly. The berry compote was a great compliment. Service was fantastic. Definitely will be back. Also want to point out the customer service of this place. A couple came in immediately after us and was not happy with where they were going to be seated. They wanted a specific table. Due to covid social distancing it wasn't available. They were very rude about it. Don't get the host grief when they are trying to follow the rules. The host took their attitude in stride and did his best to find a solution. Great job.
MoreGreat little place with great coffee. Of you have kids ask for the “fancy hot chocolate”.
MoreThe food and service are top of the line, as is the price. Excellent place to cellebrate a special event.
MoreWe ordered beignets, jambalaya omelet, chicken fried steak, and the blueberry waffle. The food was fantastic, we've ordered beignets at a couple places now and this was the best. I'd give it 4.5 stars if we could because the server never checked on us after bringing our food out and I could have used a refill on my coffee while I was still eating. We also sat for a bit waiting for our check. But other than that, we really liked it. We will definitely go back again!
MoreBest restaurant on the Long Beach peninsula, and by far. In fact, their food is so good we've made this our single most important stop each time we vacation in the peninsula, which is once a year for the last 20 years. I can easily exceed the character limit talking about each menu item, as I've had them all and nearly every rotating special. Just know your meal will be carefully prepared with passion and fresh, locally grown ingredients.
MoreWe had a delicious breakfast on 6/13/20. Wonderful scrambles and Brioche French Toast. Great service. The coffee was good too. The 4 Star rating is for the food and service. I would return in a heartbeat, except for their poor COVID 19 precautions. They had an uncovered, unattended pitcher of ice water at the host station. They poured water from this pitcher into the preset glasses on the tables. They had preset salt and pepper shakers on the dining tables. I have not seen any presets on dining tables since dining out post pandemic. The most disturbing was the water service. If they are still around in a year or so I'd love to give them another chance.
MoreSelect menu of a New Orleans flavor. Everything is handmade and delicious!
